1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how ARL DoUrQuote collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when customers and independent repair shops use the mobile application and related services.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information such as email address, account type, email-verification status, and acceptance of legal terms; profile information such as name or business name, phone number, street address, city, state, country, and ZIP code; vehicle information such as year, make, model, mileage, VIN when provided, and service history; repair-request information such as symptoms, descriptions, photos, and short videos; quote information such as labor, parts, fees, notes, warranty, expiration, appointment, status, and review information; and technical or security records generated when the service is used.
3. Location information
We convert a profile address into latitude and longitude coordinates to determine whether a shop is within approximately 60 miles of a repair request. Users may enter an address even when they are not physically present there. The app does not require continuous background location tracking for this matching feature.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, maintain profiles, match repair requests with nearby shops, display vehicle and request details to eligible participants, enable quotes and appointments, provide PDF or printing features, send transactional notifications, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, comply with law, and operate and improve the service.
5. How information is shared
Repair-request and relevant vehicle information is shared with eligible shops within the service area so they can evaluate whether to submit a quote. Quote and appointment information is shared with the customer and the applicable shop. We also disclose information to service providers that process it for us, including Supabase for authentication, databases, functions, and file storage; Resend for transactional email; and address-geocoding services used to determine coordinates. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
6. Photos, videos, and storage
Photos and videos attached to repair requests are stored in private cloud storage and are made available through time-limited access links to authorized users. Users should avoid including faces, license plates, documents, home interiors, or other sensitive details unless needed to explain the repair.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Users can use the Delete Account control in the app to request deletion of their account and associated data. Some limited records may be retained when required by law, for fraud prevention, or to establish or defend legal claims.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access, database access policies, private media storage, encrypted network connections, and server-side secrets. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users must protect their passwords and devices.
9. User choices and rights
Users may review and update profile information in the app, choose which optional media to upload, stop using the service, and request account deletion. Depending on applicable law, users may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing.
10. Transactional email
We send emails necessary to confirm accounts and communicate new requests, quotes, acceptance, and status changes. These operational messages are not promotional marketing. Email delivery providers receive the address and message information necessary to deliver them.
11. Children
ARL DoUrQuote is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Account holders must be at least 18 years old under the Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. United States processing
The service is operated for users in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, technology, or law. The effective date and version identify the current policy. Material changes will be communicated when required.
